Welcome to the Sown Network, we’re glad you joined us! The next couple of minutes are designed to provide a brief overview of how the Sown Network works. Thank you for taking the time to go through this introduction.
What is the Sown Network?
The Sown Network is an entirely online community organized into two separate and distinct components that are uniquely separate and unified for the same purpose.
From the organizational component, the Sown Network is a 501(c)3 organization established as a developing church plant under the authority of The Northwest District of the Wesleyan Church and The Wesleyan Church.
From the missional component, the Sown Network is a network of mission-centric individuals from the Wesleyan tradition SOWN into the fabric of their communities through businesses, ministries, and micro-church gatherings.
The Sown Network organizational component exists to provide administrative support for the Sown Network’s missional component.
The Sown Network is led by Rev. John Howell and a core group of leaders within the Sown Network.
Why does the Sown Network Exist?
The Sown Network exists primarily as a means of equipping and training individuals to learn how to love and follow Jesus within the context of the communities and workplaces where God has intentionally and purposefully placed them.
Sown Network members hold tightly to a belief that the community of a church exists to equip and send people out into the world to make disciples who in turn, seek to go out into the world and make more disciples.
How can I get involved?
We were hoping you’d ask that question! In the next two sections, we’ll go over how you can get involved with the Sown Network. Let’s get started!
